A life remembered
Mrs. Padma Bachan, aged 60, of Tabaquite, Couva-Tabaquite-Talparo, passed peacefully on 10th April 2026 after a short illness.
Born and raised in the hills of Tabaquite, Padma was a gifted dressmaker whose careful stitching clothed brides, schoolchildren and neighbours across the district for more than thirty years. A devoted Hindu, she worshipped at the Tabaquite Hindu Mandir and delighted in the music and colour of its celebrations. She is lovingly survived by her husband Ramnarine, her daughters Anisa and Reeya, her son Kavir, and her cherished grandchildren, relatives and friends across Trinidad & Tobago and the diaspora.
Funeral arrangements
Service & interment
- ✦Prayers will be held at the family home in Tabaquite, followed by a service at the Tabaquite Hindu Mandir.
- ✦The cremation will take place at the Caroni Cremation Site.
- ✦Mourners are kindly asked to wear white. No flowers by request; donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory.
