A life remembered
Mr. Ramnarine Ramroop, aged 55, of Penal, in the Penal-Debe district, passed away peacefully on 15 June 2026, surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in Penal, he was a devout Hindu and a familiar figure at the village mandir. A fisherman by trade, he spent his life on the waters off the south-western coast, providing for his family and sharing his catch generously with his neighbours. He is survived by his wife, his children Vishal, Priya and Arjoon, his grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends across Trinidad & Tobago and the diaspora.

Service & interment
- ✦Prayers will be held at the family home in Penal, followed by a service at the Penal Hindu Mandir.
- ✦Cremation will take place at the Shore of Peace Cremation Site, Mosquito Creek, La Romaine.
- ✦The family kindly asks mourners to wear white; in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Penal Rock Road Health Centre.
